1 lb thinly sliced short ribs or large flat steak (skirt, flank, sirloin)
¾ cup Suji’s Korean Savory Sauce
2 T chopped scallion
1 T minced garlic
½ T minced ginger
½ T toasted sesame seed oil
¼ t ground black pepper
Mix the sauce with the scallion, garlic, ginger, oil and black pepper in a large container. Add the short ribs or steak and coat with the sauce on all sides. Marinate for 8-12 hours. Remove from marinade and shake off excess sauce. Heat grill to 400°F. Place on the grill and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 3 minutes. Keep the grill lid open to prevent flare ups. If the flame is too hot, reduce the heat. Alternatively, you can cook the ribs in a saute pan over medium-high heat.
Place a small amount of oil in a nonstick pan. Add a single layer of ribs and cook until well browned on both sides. Serve with steamed rice, serve immediately. Serves 2-3.
Steak: follow the same techniques, but cook to your desired doneness. Serves 2-3.
